Genesis 21 reveals true worship through Abraham and Sarah’s response to God’s fulfilled promise. God gave them Isaac in their old age, and they named him “laughter,” recognizing the joy and grace God brought into their lives (Genesis 21:6, KJV). Abraham’s obedience in circumcising Isaac on the eighth day further demonstrated worship through commitment to God’s commands (Genesis 21:4).

Psalm 100 is a powerful call to joyful worship and thanksgiving to the Lord. This psalm reminds us of God’s sovereignty, goodness, and everlasting mercy, encouraging believers to serve Him with glad hearts and enter His presence with praise.

The Gospel of Mark stands out as a fast-moving, action-packed account of Jesus’ ministry, portraying Him as the Servant of God who came to serve and give His life for others. Unlike the other Gospels, Mark skips over Jesus’ birth and early life, diving straight into His public ministry, which reflects its emphasis on what Jesus did more than what He said.

In the time of Elisha the prophet, a widow in desperate need approached him, having been left with debts and facing the threat of losing her sons to creditors. With only a small jar of oil remaining, Elisha instructed her to borrow as many empty vessels as she could from her neighbors, then pour the oil into them.
