Founded in 1968, our church has a rich history of dedication to both the military and the local community. It all began when a small group of visionaries saw the need for a spiritual haven for military families stationed nearby. With a humble beginning in a modest building, our church quickly became a cornerstone of support and fellowship.
Over the years, our congregation grew, and so did our mission. In the 1970s and 80s, we expanded our outreach programs to address the needs of the local community, offering food drives, educational workshops, and youth activities. The 1990s brought further growth with the addition of new facilities to better serve our expanding congregation and community programs.
Throughout the decades, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to provide a welcoming and nurturing environment. Our services and programs have adapted to the changing times, incorporating contemporary worship styles and embracing technological advancements to reach a broader audience.
Today, our church stands as a testament to the enduring power of faith and community. We continue to honor our legacy while looking forward to the future, ever dedicated to serving our military families and local residents with love, compassion, and unwavering support.

Our mission at MBC, is to evangelize Okinawa by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with our local community, send missionaries worldwide to spread the message of Christ, disciple people to Christ by guiding individuals in their spiritual growth and relationship with Jesus, support US military families by providing a spiritual home and community for military personnel and their loved ones, and foster a welcoming environment for Japanese locals and foreigners, embracing diversity and unity in our faith community.
