Our Vision

Built for This Generation

Teenagers today face an unprecedented battle for their hearts, minds, and souls. The Youth Ministry of Maranatha Baptist Church is built with that reality in mind — a program that takes young people seriously, teaches them the full counsel of God's Word, and equips them to stand firm in a world that constantly pushes back against biblical truth.

Our youth are not the church of tomorrow — they are the church of today. We give them responsibility, disciple them personally, challenge them with the Gospel, and invest in them as individuals who have real questions and real faith.

Whether you're a teen raised in the church or one who just walked through our doors for the first time, you will find a genuine community here that points you to Christ.

Weekly Schedule

Our Regular Programs

Consistent, structured time in God's Word every week — because transformation happens in the rhythm of regular discipleship.

📖

Sunday School

Age-graded Bible class every Sunday morning at 9:45 AM. Teens study through books of the Bible systematically — not surface-level topics, but deep expository teaching that builds a real biblical worldview.

Morning & Evening Worship

Teens sit in the main services and are expected to engage. They take notes, grow under the same preaching as the adults, and develop a lifelong habit of faithful church attendance.

🙏

Wednesday Prayer Meeting

Teens are invited to the midweek prayer meeting — learning to pray, intercede for others, and experience the power of a corporate praying church.

👥

Youth Discipleship Group

A smaller, more personal discipleship time specifically for teens — focused discussion, accountability, life application, and one-on-one mentoring from faithful leaders.

Growing Deep

What We're Building Into Every Teen

We don't just want teens to attend church. We want them to be disciples — people who follow Christ every day for the rest of their lives.

Biblical Literacy

Teens graduate from our youth program having studied through large portions of Scripture and knowing how to study the Bible on their own.

A Prayer Life

We teach teens to pray — personally, corporately, and with faith. Prayer is modeled, practiced, and expected as part of every teen's walk with God.

Sharing Their Faith

Youth participate in soul winning and outreach. Teens who know how to share the Gospel are teens who own their faith — not just inherited it from their parents.

Church Membership

We prepare teens for meaningful church membership — understanding what the local church is, why it matters, and how to serve and give sacrificially.

Character & Integrity

Practical discipleship in purity, integrity, work ethic, and Christlike character — preparing teens not just for church life but for life itself.

A Missions Heart

We cultivate global vision. Our teens know our missionaries, pray for them, and are challenged to consider full-time ministry and the mission field as a calling.

Fun Matters Too

Youth Activities & Events

Relationships are built in the margins — at camp, on a field trip, over a meal together. We build friendships that last a lifetime.

Youth Camp

Annual summer camp with days of Bible preaching, fellowship, recreation, and teen decisions for Christ that mark their lives forever.

Retreats & Trips

Day trips, overnight retreats, and group outings that build brotherhood and sisterhood in a fun, safe environment.

Special Events

Holiday parties, teen talent nights, game nights, and other seasonal events that make the youth group a place teens actually want to be.

Service Projects

Youth serve together — helping with church events, visiting elderly members, and participating in outreach projects that get their hands dirty for the Lord.

Partnership
We work with parents, not around them
Safe Space
Screened leaders, two-adult rule always
A Note to Parents

We Partner With You

The youth ministry is not a replacement for the home — it is a support for it. We believe that parents are the primary spiritual authority in a young person's life, and everything we do is designed to strengthen what you are already building at home.

We communicate openly with parents about what we're teaching, where we're going, and what we expect of teens in our program. We welcome your questions, your involvement, and your prayers.

All youth workers undergo background checks, and we adhere to a strict two-adult policy in every setting. Your teen's safety — physical, emotional, and spiritual — is our responsibility and we take it seriously.

Bring Your Teen This Sunday

Whether they're already saved or still searching — there is a place for them here. Come meet our youth leaders and see what God is doing in this generation.
