Nursery Ministry
A safe, loving place for your littlest ones — so you can worship freely.
Every Child Is a Gift from God
The Nursery Ministry at Maranatha Baptist Church exists to love and care for the youngest members of our church family — infants through toddlers age three — while their parents worship, learn, and grow in the services above.
We believe parents should never have to choose between attending church and caring for their child. Our nursery gives families the freedom to engage fully in worship, knowing their little ones are in a warm, safe, loving environment staffed by trained, caring volunteers.
Even our youngest children are introduced to the love of Jesus through songs, gentle play, Bible stories, and the consistent care of faithful volunteers who treat every child as if they were their own.

What Happens in the Nursery
More than childcare — a loving environment designed for the whole development of your child.
Infant Care
Dedicated infant room for babies 0–12 months with individual attention, rocking chairs, and a calm, quiet environment away from the bustle of the main nursery.
Toddler Room
Safe, energetic space for walking toddlers ages 1–3 with age-appropriate toys, learning stations, and gentle guided activities.
Bible Stories
Simple, engaging Bible stories are woven into every nursery session — planting seeds of Scripture in young hearts from the very beginning.
Worship Songs
Children learn to love Jesus through joyful, child-friendly hymns and choruses — singing their way into a lifelong love of worship.
Loving Volunteers
All nursery workers are faithful church members who genuinely love children. Volunteers are background-checked and trained in basic child safety and first aid.
Your Child's Safety is Our Priority
We take the safety and wellbeing of every child in our care with the utmost seriousness.
Secure Check-In
Every child is checked in by their parent or guardian with a matching tag system. Children are only released to the person who checked them in.
Two-Adult Rule
There are always at least two adults in any room at all times — never one adult alone with children. This protects children and volunteers alike.
Health Guidelines
We follow clear health policies — children showing signs of illness are lovingly redirected to stay with their parents to protect other children in our care.
Clean Environment
Toys, surfaces, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized between services. We maintain a hygienic, allergen-aware environment for all children.
What to Bring & Expect
What to Bring
A labeled bag with diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, formula or pumped milk for infants, and any special comfort item your child needs.
Registration
First-time visitors fill out a simple registration card with your child's name, age, allergies, and emergency contact information.
Parent Notification
If your child needs you during the service, we use a discreet notification system so you can be reached without disrupting the service.
Serve in the Nursery
Parents are warmly invited to volunteer in the nursery. It's one of the most meaningful ways to serve — and your child loves having you nearby!
